A global automobile parts manufacturer, a client of NineSigma, believes credible air cleaning technology is key to comfortable automobile experience; particularly deodorization and sterilization technology will become increasingly important. The Client has promoted research and development on their own, however they now face a challenge to find a suitable solution to ensure both deodorization/sterilization and safety in a short time. Given that technological development of such air cleaning is done globally, the Client decided to find a partner to further accelerate the development speed, which lead to this offering.

The Foundation is promoting Ray's legacy through its inspiration and funding of innovative, educational and project-based initiatives that advance the revolution in sustainable production and consumption. Through its Gray Notes Grants program, the foundation awards grants of between $2,000 and $25,000 for environmental conservation, preservation, education, and restoration initiatives; urban agriculture programs; clean water and clean air projects; environmental and economic think tanks; and grassroots initiatives that inform and inspire people to collaborate and take positive action to protect the planet. In addition, the program supports organizations and programs that are working with industry, government, and businesses to create environmentally sound planning practices to reduce the environmental footprint of urban development through energy efficiency, increased use of renewable energy, and the reduction of carbon intensity. We award grants in two categories: Grants to Environmental Initiatives and Nonprofits   Inquiries taken throughout 2013. EPA's Office of Transportation and Air Quality (OTAQ) is soliciting proposals nationwide for projects that achieve significant reductions in diesel emissions in terms of tons of pollution produced by diesel engines and diesel emissions exposure, particularly from fleets located in areas designated as having poor air quality. Further, priority for funding may be given to projects which result in outcomes that benefit affected communities, those that engage affected communities with respect to the design and performance of the project, and those which can demonstrate the ability to promote and continue efforts to reduce emissions after the project has ended.

EPA's National Clean Diesel Funding Assistance Program is soliciting proposals nationwide for projects that achieve significant reductions in diesel emissions in terms of tons of pollution produced by diesel engines and diesel emissions exposure, particularly from fleets operating in areas designated by the Administrator as poor air quality areas.

The National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) University Turbine Systems Research (UTSR) program manages a portfolio of gas turbine-focused university projects. The NETL-UTSR program is part of an initiative in support of the Office of Fossil Energy's Advanced Turbines program goals, DOE strategic goals and program mission needs. The funding opportunity announcement (FOA) is required to facilitate the development and demonstration of next-generation turbine technology with the goal of producing reliable, affordable, clean, efficient, and cost-effective energy supplies and to address the need for engineering and scientific solutions for air breathing gas turbines and supercritical carbon dioxide (SCO2) power cycles. The work will address scientific Research and Development (R&D) as well as technical challenges in turbine technology in support of DOE's strategic goals, program mission needs and the achievement of programmatic technical goals.
